Following the Denver Museum of Art, the exhibition Dior: From Paris to the World opens at the Dallas Museum of Art on May 19 and will run until September 1. This retrospective celebrates more than seventy years of haute couture that Christian Dior and then his successors have put through time and travel experiences in different countries.
New exhibits will be on display in Texas, ranging from the New Look costumes created by the fashion house founder to Maria Grazia Chiuri’s latest couture collection, dedicated to the circus world.
Also the museum received more than 200 unique works revealing the backstage of the fashion house: valuable pictures, movies from rare archives, original sketches and objects connected with perfumes and cosmetics by Dior.
Architect Shohei Shigematsu worked on the scenography, which was adapted specially for this museum.
The vernissage was visited by Kate Bosworth, Zoey Deutch, Kat Graham and others.
