As part of the new sanitation service contract awarded to Waste Industries by the City of Dallas, residents will begin to see their previous waste cans replaced with cans provided by Waste Industries.
This exchange will provide a uniform look of receptacles throughout the city and are being provided by Waste Industries at no additional cost to the city.
Trash Service
The City of Dallas provides trash service (through Waste Industries) only to City residents and is not available to residents outside of the City.
Yard/Tree Trimmings Collection
The City will remove your yard and tree trimmings at no charge. This includes limbs, brush, leaves and pine straw.
In order for them to be removed, they must be at curbside -- City staff cannot enter onto personal property to remove them. Leaves and limbs must be separated and must not contain any type of debris.

Street Lighting
Street lighting is provided by Georgia Power or Greystone Power Corporation, depending upon the area in which you live.
To report a street light problem, please give us (City of Dallas) a call at (770)443-8114.
Water Services
Bills are mailed approximately the 25th of each month. Bills are due by the 10th of the following month. A $10.00 late fee is added to all bills not paid on or before the 20th of each month.
NO DELINQUENT NOTICE WILL BE SENT. If your service is discontinued for non-payment there will be an additional $50 .00 cut on fee for the same day or $15.00 cut on fee for the next day. Any customers turning service back on after disconnection will pay $100.00 before service is restored.
A charge of $25.00 will be added to any returned check. If we receive more than two returned checks, all future bills must be paid in cash or with money order.
If paid by a third party bill pay service, it is your responsibility to be sure we receive your payment by the 20th or your service will be subject to disconnection. They normally mail a check to us, please allow a week for the payment to get to us from bill pay services, we are not currently capable of receiving electronic payments from these bill pay companies.
We do however accept credit card payments over the phone. Our cut off services occur on the 21st or the next business day of each month.
The City of Dallas is implementing a Water & Sewer Rate Increase of 11.50%, due to the rate increase that we received from Paulding County. This information / document was sent out in your March (2010) Billing.
